This article explains how to install and configure an Epson TM-T88V (Model M244A) receipt printer connected via USB for use with Pinogy POS.

Instructions

  1. Download the Advanced Printer Driver. The current version is 5.12E and can be downloaded from Epson-biz.com (https://download.epson-biz.com/modules/pos/index.php?page=single_soft&cid=6454&scat=31&pcat=3 ).

  2. Extract/Unzip the drivers you just downloaded. The file name created for version 5.12E is APD_512_T88V_EWM.zip. This will most likely be in your downloads directory.

  3. Once you have extracted the zip file, go into the resulting folder and run APD_512_T88V.exe (512 refers to the version number. Your file might have a different number here.)

    1. Choose all default options as you set through the installer.

  4. Open “Printers and Scanners” in windows.

  5. Select the EPSON TM-T88V Receipt 5 option and click on Manage.

  6. Select Printer Properties
  7. Go to the Advanced Tab, and click on

    1. “Print directly to the printer”

    2. Apply

    3. Ok

  8. You should not be back to the main device page. Click on “Printing preferences” this time.

  9. Click on the “Feed and Cut” tab

    1. Select Custom

    2. Select the “End of Document” tab

    3. Check “Feed to cut position before cutting”

    4. Select “Cut” in the dropdown

    5. Enter “5.0” and “mm” or “.2” and “in” for the Feeding amount”

    6. Click on “Apply”

Tip: Make sure Start of Document, Start of Page, and End of Page are all unset and the cutting method is set to No Cut.

  10. Click on the “Advanced Settings” tab

    1. Then click on the “Advanced Settings' button.

  11. Click on “Layout”

    1. Uncheck “Automatically adjust and print”

    2. Click on “Set”

  12. Open the Cash Register application

    1. Go to Settings

    2. Select the “EPSON TM-TV Receipt 5” printer from the dropdown.

Your Cash Drawer pops through the receipt printer, so make sure your Drawer Kick (“DK”) cable is connected between your receipt printer and the cash drawer.
